Branches
To
establish a branch in Ecuador, a foreign company must provide:
1)
Proof that the company has been legally established in its
country of origin.
2) Proof that, according to the laws of the country of origin,
the company has both the right to establish branches abroad
and the right to conduct business, internationally.
3) A permanent legal representative in Ecuador.
4) Assigned capital of USD 2,000, or more.
This
documentation must be presented to the Superintendency of
Companies, along with a certificate issued by the closest
Ecuadorian Consulate to the foreign company's headquarters,
certifying that the company is legally incorporated in its
country of origin and that it is authorized to do business
abroad.
